Humberside Airport is the latest client to select Lone Worker Solutions (LWS) to protect staff working out-of-sight of colleagues or alone. Humberside Airport facilitates flights for both freight and passenger aircraft along with an industry-focused business park. Flights across Europe and Scandinavia are provided by a number of national and international carriers.
The cargo facility is expanding to meet the needs of both exporters and importers from across the UK. Humberside Airport Business Park is home to high-profile companies such as BAE Systems, Anglia Cargo, Hilton, Henderson Insurance and Eastern Airways.
Safe Hub and ProtectMe provide the broadest range of support features
LWS's proprietary Safe Hub platform supports the widest range of dedicated devices. The team at Humberside Airport chose to deploy ProtectMe. This discreet device is ideally suited for a range of lone working scenarios, and supports all Safe Hub’s features.
ProtectMe is a powerful GSM/GPS dedicated mobile device which is durable and extremely easy to use. The prominent SOS button, with high-quality 2-way audio, easily triggers a Red Alert. This connects users directly with operatives at a state-of-the-art Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). A secondary call button lets users leave a Yellow Alert message on the platform that ARC personnel can access in an emergency. The ARC team are authorised to dispatch blue light services in an emergency, directing them to the worker's exact location.
Reactive support is delivered through the activation of motion and shock sensors, which can automatically raise an alert if a fall or impact is detected when the Worker Down feature is active. The device's screen allows users to quickly set-up and amend Safe Check, our proactive, interval based welfare check function. And managers can warn their lone workers of extreme weather, an incident or a terror threat, with tailored messages through Group Alert.
