Lone Worker Solutions (LWS) is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract to protect lone workers at AECOM. The lone workers will access support using The Safe Hub app on their mobile phones.
Safe Hub provides lone worker protection to ecologists
AECOM is an American multinational engineering firm which provides design, consulting, construction, and management services to a wide range of clients. The company is providing lone worker protection to its team of ecologists in the UK who are working on the high-speed rail link between London and the Midlands (HS2). As they often work in remote areas, these ecologists frequently work alone and out-of-sight of colleagues.
AECOM chose to deliver LWS’s lone worker protection services via its workers’ existing mobile phones. The company was particularly attracted to our proprietary Safe Check function, which provides proactive support through a programmable interval-based welfare function. In addition, the company’s lone workers will be able to access emergency support via the Red Alert function. In a crisis situation the user can tap an icon in the app to be connected to operatives at the ARC, who can then send appropriate emergency service support to the user.
