Lone Worker Solutions has just signed a contract to protect lone workers at Faringdon Town Council. We will be deploying the Safe Hub app to provide the widest possible range of protection to lone workers at the council.
Safe Hub protects local government workers from the risks of working alone
Faringdon Town Council is a ‘parish authority’ for this small Oxfordshire market town. As such it is the third tier of local government in the town (below Oxfordshire County Council and Vale of White Horse District Council), and is therefore closest to the community. A number of employees sometimes work alone, or out-of-sight and hearing of their colleagues at the council’s offices and around the town.
The council chose the Safe Hub smartphone app, which gives its lone workers access to all of our lone worker safety features. Safe Check and Worker Down will run seamlessly in the background without interrupting the smartphone’s normal function. In an emergency, Red Alert is easily triggered as the SOS button overrides the handset’s keypad lock allowing instant access to support from our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). And the workers can leave a Yellow Alert message with the ARC to provide useful contextual information that can be used in an emergency.
The Safe Hub smartphone app can be easily downloaded by end-users, whether they have an Android, iOS (Apple) or Windows smartphone. The app uses a phone’s in-built GPS and GPRS technology to provide accurate location data and the fastest possible alert transmission in the event of an emergency.
