Lone Worker Solutions is delighted to announce that it has recently signed a contract with Newhaven Town Council. Responding to feedback from end-users at the council, we will be deploying Safe Hub using both our smartphone app and our dedicated SOS Fob devices.
Safe Hub protects council employees working late at the office and on off-site visits
Newhaven Town Council was formed in 1974 when local government was reorganised. It provides a number of facilities and services for local residents in this small busy port town in East Sussex. The council is the level of local government which is closest to the town’s community (as Lewes District Council and East Sussex County Council sit above it). The council has chosen both Safe Hub apps and SOS Fobs to deliver lone worker protection for its office-based staff as, during testing, some lone workers expressed a marked preference for one or the other.
Whether the individual worker chooses either the SOS Fob or the app to access Safe Hub’s features, they’ll easily be able to get the help they need, when they need it. In an emergency, the tap of a screen or the push of a prominent SOS button can trigger a Red Alert and put the lone worker in contact with our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). Workers can also leave a Yellow Alert message with the ARC to provide useful contextual information that can be used in an emergency. Meanwhile, Worker Down will use the in-built motion sensors in smartphones or SOS Fob devices, offering reactive support in the event of a slip, trip, or fall.
