Veolia deploys Safe Hub app

Lone Worker Solutions is thrilled to announce that it has signed a contract to provide lone worker protection to Veolia. Safe Hub will provide lone workers at the company with our full range of protection and support features. A team of the company’s lone workers will access our lone worker safety system via our mobile app on shared mobile devices.

Safe Hub set to protect lone workers at Veolia’s various sites

Veolia is the global leader in optimized resource management, with over 163,000 employees worldwide. Here in the UK, it’s the market leader in environmental solutions. The company provides comprehensive waste, water and energy management services to support the sustainable development of communities and industries. Their innovative solutions focus on preventing pollution, preserving scarce natural resources, protecting biodiversity, and manufacturing green products and energy. By raising environmental awareness, they aim to combat climate change, helping customers and suppliers to reduce their carbon impact.

A team of the company’s lone workers at one of its sites in northern England will be using shared devices to access Safe Hub. However, this is easily accommodated by the Safe Hub system. Each individual user is set up with their personalised risk profile, including any medical information, personal contacts and tailored escalation protocols. Each lone worker can easily activate their profile at the beginning of their shift. That way, they can get the help they need as soon as they need it.

The full range of protection and support features

The Safe Hub mobile app offers our comprehensive lone worker safety system through voice and data connections to our Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). With the reactive Worker Down feature, we harness the power of motion and shock sensors to get lone workers help in the event of a slip, trip or fall. Lone workers can access immediate emergency help via Red Alert, while they can share vital contextual information which could assist in such an emergency using Yellow Alert. Should they find themselves in certain risky situations throughout their work day, Safe Check provides a proactive welfare confirmation function. And we can prevent lone workers from getting into trouble in the first place with our Group Alert and Safe Beacon features.
