Spotlight on SOS Fob and apps, part of our range of lone worker safety devices

SOS Fob is discreet, durable, waterproof and lightweight. It can be clipped into a specially moulded identity badge, or worn in an arm or belt holster, or carried in a pocket. It deploys two key technologies. Global Positioning System (GPS) locates lone workers in an emergency. Meanwhile, Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM) allows workers to speak directly to operatives at the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). To maximise signal coverage even in areas of poor reception, we supply SOS Fob with a roaming multi-network SIM. SOS Fob supports our Red Alert, Yellow Alert and Worker Down features, together with GPS tracking.

With our range of Safe Hub apps, we can deploy our systems on smartphones, standard mobile phones, Blackberrys, laptops and desktops. The desktop and laptop apps focus on providing emergency and proactive support, with Red Alert, Yellow Alert and Safe Check as standard. And our Safe Hub smartphone app supports our full range of features on Android and Apple iOS. From Red Alert through to Safe Beacon, it provides emergency, buddy, proactive, worker down, broadcast or barrier protection. That way, using their smartphones, we can help lone workers in need and stop them getting into trouble in the first place.

Our full range of lone worker safety devices will be on display at Health & Safety North Stand G52. We’re proud of our range of dedicated devices, which is the widest on the market. We have the hardware for every risky situation. We’ll be showcasing other devices from the discreet SOS Button to the phone-sized ProtectMe. For remote we also have our SPOT Gen3 satellite device, and intrinsically safe devices for work in hazardous areas.

Dedicated to lone worker safety using our Safe Hub system

Our award-winning platform, Safe Hub, provides the highest level of customisation and support for all workers and different levels of risk. We can talk you through designing a bespoke solution for your organisation’s needs. Whatever the situation and wherever they are, our proprietary Safe Hub software platform will protect your lone workers. Safe Hub uses a single interface to manage multiple devices and safety features. All of your workers will have access to the latest in voice and data communications technologies. When they need help, they’ll be connected to an Alarm Receiving Centre, which operates around the clock and throughout the year.

Talk to us at the exhibition Health & Safety North takes place at EventCity, Manchester on 9 and 10 October 2018. Find us at exhibition stand G52 to take a look at our products and services – and to benefit from our offer. Click here for more information about attending the exhibition.

About Lone Worker Solutions

At Lone Worker Solutions, it’s our business to protect employees, managers and shareholders from the risks associated with working alone. This includes the potential hazards faced by staff who work by themselves, remotely, or out-of-sight or earshot of colleagues. When it comes to safety we don't believe in a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach; instead, we tailor our solution to each organisation's exact needs.
