For lone workers in customer-facing roles SOS Button is an ideal device to call for help if it's needed. Especially where it’s crucial to be able to summon help discreetly. Ergonomically designed, the SOS Button can be worn in a variety of ways, and accessed in a hurry.
Small, light and durable
The device uses Bluetooth Smart (Bluetooth 4.0 LE) technology. It connects with the Safe Hub App on the worker’s computer or designated smartphone (Apple phones 4S or higher, and Android phones 4.3 or higher). The SOS Button must be within range of the lone worker’s smartphone or computer to operate. But with a wireless range of up to 75 feet indoors, and 300 feet outdoors, that gives plenty of flexibility. And if the SOS Button travels out-of-range from the device running the app, both devices receive an audio notification.
The device uses a replaceable CR2032 battery that will last for up to 12 months before needing to be replaced. These batteries are readily available from a range of retail sources. The SOS Button is fully waterproof up to 3 feet (1 metre) for up to 30 minutes. And it’s small too, at under 1.5 inches (32mm) in diameter and weighing in at just 0.3 ounces (8 grams).
The SOS Button provides two of our Safe Hub features, allowing the lone worker to access emergency help when they need it:
Red Alert: Once pressed, the SOS Button connects with the worker’s smartphone or computer app, and Safe Hub triggers a Red Alert which transmits directly to the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).
Worker Down: the SOS Button has a fall detection feature that will trigger Worker Down in the worker’s Safe Hub App. Inbuilt sensors will be activated by the worker falling or suffering a sudden impact.
In addition to these support features, the location from a lone worker’s smartphone will be sent to the ARC. This means that managers can keep an eye on their lone workers’ location through Safe Hub manager. And real-time GPS location will be recorded in Safe Hub Manager in case of incidents.
When we say ‘wearable’, we really mean it
There are plenty of devices out there that claim to be wearable but aren’t. Our SOS button really is. And there are a number of different carrying options which we offer to clients using the SOS Button device:
Clothing clip: The SOS Button fits into a handy clip to attach to a pocket or belt.
Lanyard: Workers can wear the SOS Button on a lanyard (And we have breakable lanyards available too).
Wristband: The SOS button clips into a comfortable and durable wristband
If you’re looking for a durable, flexible and discreet device for lone workers who may need rapid help – then look no further than the SOS Button.
