Happy New Year! At Lone Worker Solutions, we want to wish all our clients and their lone and remote workers a safe and happy 2019.
It’s our mission to protect employees, managers and shareholders from the risks associated with lone working. To that end, we have designed Safe Hub to be the sector-leading lone worker safety solution, to protect staff from the potential risks which they face each day in the ordinary course of their work.
Safe Hub protects lone workers
With clients across every industry sector --- and particular expertise in housing and property, healthcare and the NHS, and utilities and engineering --- we understand how varied lone working can be in the real world. While it is immediately apparent that some workers will be working alone, some workers may only occasionally work alone, or maybe in a customer-facing role bringing its own risks.
Our award-winning platform delivers a BS8484:2016 Gold Certified package of emergency, buddy, proactive, reactive, broadcast and virtual barrier protection for lone workers. Safe Hub supports lone and remote workers on the broadest possible array of devices including Android, Apple and Windows smartphones, BlackBerrys, standard mobiles, PCs, intrinsically safe devices, specialist personal safety devices and satellite phones.
Safe Hub is flexible
Safe Hub is a multi-functional, secure, web-based system with integrated safety applications. The platform connects lone, remote and vulnerable workers to an Alarm Response Centre (ARC) 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The system provides support whenever needed at the touch of a button. We can even help lone workers keep out of trouble in the first place, with our broadcast function and virtual barrier protection.
The system allows managers to control risks and meet the requirements of health and safety legislation. By accessing an accurate cross-device snapshot of activity, managers can demonstrate to auditors and directors that a safety culture lies at the heart of their corporate governance.
The platform provides the highest possible degree of flexibility around the number of lone workers who are supported, and the level of support and protection which each of them requires. For each worker, we can allocate protection and monitoring solutions tailored to an individual risk assessment. We can define escalation and response procedures customised to each lone worker. We can activate or deactivate protection and monitoring as required. Moreover, we can communicate with, identify, locate and report on individual workers.
Most importantly of all, in the event of an emergency, we can ensure direct access to emergency services, bypassing the usual 999 call procedures.
Whether it’s routine support or an emergency, Safe Hub connects your lone workers to the ARC for them to get the level of support they need.
