Autism Anglia choose Safe Hub to protect lone workers

*This blog has been republished to reflect Autism Anglia's very smart new logo. Autism Anglia has launched its new logo ahead of World Autism Awareness Day and at the start of World Autism Awareness Week. The new identity, created in-house, better represents the diversity of people with an Autism Diagnosis.

The origins of the charity started back in the early 1970’s with families living in Essex and Norfolk independently realising that there was no specialist provision for their children who were on the Autism Spectrum. This lack of provision resulted in two entirely separate organisations being operated and managed up until 2008 when negotiations brought about the successful merger and the formation of Autism Anglia.

Working with Autism Anglia

We are thrilled to announce that charity Autism Anglia, have selected Safe Hub to protect their lone workers across Norfolk and Essex. The charity’s team members undertake a large number of roles, each with differing risk assessments. Many are directly involved in supporting service users in their homes and in dedicated residential properties which the charity runs. Others take on fundraising tasks such as challenge events. Autism Anglia also runs Doucecroft School, which provides specialist education for 3 to 19-year-olds with Autistic Spectrum Conditions. The perfect discreet personal device Autism Anglia chose our SOS Fob device, which comes loaded with multiple features including Red Alert, Yellow Alert and Worker Down. SOS Fob is lightweight, waterproof and compact. It uses two key technologies: Global Positioning System (GPS) and Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM). Together, these enable Safe Hub to locate workers in an emergency and connect them with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC).

Personalised risk profiles The secret of Safe Hub is its flexibility and the ability to tailor escalation protocols to individual users. Devices can even be shared, with each user having a personalised profile and response process.
