It’s always fantastic to be recognised for the work that you do. That’s why we’re really proud to have made it onto the NatWest #PowerUp Index of Top 10 companies in London and the SouthEast. According to this index, we’re among the region’s most exciting businesses from NatWest’s accelerator programme.
The nuts and bolts of the NatWest Accelerator programme
Back in October last year, our Chief Executive Officer, George Stavrinidis, was accepted onto NatWest’s Entrepreneur Accelerator programme. This scheme is a six-month package for entrepreneurs with established, high-growth businesses which are looking to scale up. It’s one of three fully funded Accelerator programmes, which are tailored to empower entrepreneurs at any stage.
Designed to ensure that businesses get the best chance to succeed, Accelerator entrepreneurs get a range of benefits. The programme provides entrepreneurs with unique coaching, environments, digital learning and networks. Accelerator aims to improve entrepreneurs’ networks and supply chains, providing practical support, mentoring, and legal and tech advice. In short, it’s designed to allow entrepreneurs to power up their businesses.
The first #PowerUp Index
NatWest has published a list of the 100 ‘best and brightest businesses’ which successfully emerged from its 2018/2019 Entrepreneur Accelerator cohort. With this list forming an inaugural #PowerUp Index, NatWest aims to highlight its support for entrepreneurs across the country.
Commenting on the publication of the first #PowerUp Index NatWest Managing Director for Entrepreneurship, Gordon Merrylees said:
‘Since NatWest brought the Entrepreneur Accelerator network in-house, we’ve been able to scale the programme rapidly. The 11,000 entrepreneurs we’ve supported over the past 15 months marks a 300% increase on what we were able to achieve during the previous three and a half years. This shows how much of an achievement it is for the 100 businesses that have made our inaugural #PowerUp Index. Each of these businesses and their founders have really stood out for their impressive growth mindset, job creation, business growth and consistently demonstrating the behaviours and qualities we expect of the country’s future entrepreneurial leaders. This is in turn enabling them to have a truly significant impact in their local communities, while supporting the UK economy.’
