VPS Group deploys Safe Hub

Lone Worker Solutions (LWS) is delighted to announce that it has signed a three-year contract to protect lone workers at VPS Group. The company has chosen our SOS Fob devices to provide protection for its property inspections team. Access to emergency and reactive support on these devices is driven by our proprietary Safe Hub platform.

Lone worker protection for property inspectors

VPS Group is a specialist provider of vacant property and site security solutions across Europe. With over 1,200 employees in the UK, its key customers include social housing organisations and a wide range of commercial customers. The company has chosen to deploy our lone worker safety devices to its property inspections team. Their role is to check that protective measures are functioning, that the building is in good order and that the property has not fallen victim to squatters or vandals. As such, team members can face difficult circumstances in which they require emergency or reactive support, which the SOS Fob provides.

Safe Hub works seamlessly on the SOS Fob

The discreet, pocket-sized SOS Fob features a prominent SOS button with high-quality 2-way audio, which allows users to speak with operatives at the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). These buttons enable our emergency support features. Separate buttons can trigger a Red Alert, or allow users to leave a Yellow Alert message at the ARC. Additionally, built-in motion and shock sensors can automatically raise an alert with the ARC if the user falls or suffers a collision (our Worker Down feature). The SOS Fob is lightweight, waterproof and user-friendly, featuring a long standby time, rechargeable battery, and micro USB charger.

Safe Hub uses the latest in communication technologies to connect lone workers via dedicated devices and user-friendly apps to Mitec, a state-of-the-art ARC. As well as working across the widest possible range of dedicated devices (including the SOS Fob), our smartphone and computer apps allow users to access support via a range of technology. And our award-winning services are BS8484 Gold certified.
