Housing 2019, Manchester Central, Stand B47 and Stand P84, 25-27 June

Visit us on Stand B47 and Stand P84

This week, we’re delighted to be exhibiting at the Chartered Institute of Housing’s premier event, Housing 2019, at Manchester Central. All housing professionals know that the phrase ‘it’s safe as houses’ doesn’t always ring true. What’s more it certainly shouldn’t apply to how employers assess the risks which lone workers face in the housing and property sector. That’s why Lone Worker Solutions will be presenting the latest innovations to our award-winning Safe Hub protection system for lone and remote workers at the show.

We’ll have two stands to showcase our devices and apps. And we’ll be talking about how we can customise lone worker safety system for housing providers, estate agencies and property management firms alike. As well as stand B47 in the main Housing 2019 exhibition, we’re also on stand P84 in the PfH Live arena.

Safe Hub is part of the Safe Hub is part of the PfH Framework

We’re hugely proud of our achievement earlier this year of having been accepted onto the PfH Framework for suppliers of lone worker devices. The Framework agreement intends to make procurement of lone worker protection and consultancy services simple and efficient for current PfH members. Companies within the Framework must adhere to the high standards demanded by the PfH. Lone Worker Solutions is thus demonstrating that we will work for the benefit of all PfH members’ employees, tenants and other stakeholders.

The Framework covers any registered providers of social housing, local authorities or arm’s length management organisations, which become PfH members during the agreement period.

Under the Framework Agreement, contracts may be awarded directly using the “cascade method” to suppliers according to the ranking of their tenders for places on the Framework. Alternatively, PfH members whose requirements are slightly different may need to reopen competition on price or specific ordering or delivery arrangements for services. For any questions about the PFH Framework, and what it might mean for procuring lone worker devices for your housing sector organisation, come and find us on Stand P84.

Safe Hub for housing sector lone workers

For PfH members and others in the housing and property sector, our focus at Housing 2019 is to demonstrate the full range of our apps and devices within our proprietary Safe Hub lone worker protection system. We understand how varied lone working can be in the real world. It’s immediately obvious that some workers will frequently be working alone, or out-of-sight or earshot of colleagues. But some workers may only occasionally work alone, or may be in a customer-facing role which brings its own risks.

The range of roles and the diversity of attendant risks in the housing sector all underline the importance of developing a thorough and tailored system of lone worker protection for each organisation. That's where Safe Hub comes in. Safe Hub is certified to BS8484:2016 standards and holds the coveted Secured by Design award. It connects staff to an Alarm Receiving Centre to get them the help they need when they need it.

Customising lone worker safety to the needs of individuals we protect

Different Safe Hub features give lone workers peace of mind, while simultaneously allowing managers to control risks and meet the requirements of health and safety legislation. The Safe Hub App provides an award-winning package of emergency, buddy, proactive, reactive, broadcast and virtual barrier protection for lone workers. The system supports lone and remote workers on the widest possible array mobile devices, including Android, Apple and Windows smartphones, BlackBerrys, standard mobiles, PCs, intrinsically safe devices, specialist personal safety devices and satellite phones.

Our most popular device for clients in the housing sector is SOS Fob, but we have plenty of other options which we can discuss with you. We can easily deploy multiple different devices and apps within one organisation, managed through one online portal. And because we have a range of devices, services and apps, we can make bespoke lone worker safety packages for every housing organisation’s specific needs – and the needs of their lone workers.

If you’re visiting Housing 2019, make sure to visit us on Stand B47 or Stand P84 at Housing 2019, 25-27 June 2019 at Manchester Central. We'll be talking all things #LoneWorkerSafety #CIHHousing #PfH #HousingLoneWorkers
